SCHOLARSHIPS NEEDING FUNDING: 21
The Gridiron Foundation is a Marin County-based nonprofit dedicated to developing athletes and leaders through high-quality, accessible football training. We serve young people ages 6–18 — from 1st grade through high school — through football camps, clinics, speed and agility training, and 7v7 non-contact competitive programming.
Our mission is to develop champions on and off the field by providing elite athletic training, meaningful mentorship, and a proven character development curriculum to every young athlete in our community — regardless of their family's financial situation.
The Gridiron Foundation was born from a direct act of community investment. Our founder operated a for-profit football training business in Marin County where demand from underserved families became impossible to ignore. Rather than turning athletes away, he personally subsidized training costs — often covering 50% or more — for families who could not afford participation. At the organization's most recent 7v7 tournament, he awarded 12 full scholarships to athletes who otherwise could not have participated. That moment made the mission undeniable.
The Gridiron Foundation was established to formalize, expand, and sustain that commitment. We provide football camps and clinics for youth ages 6–18; speed and agility training that builds athleticism transferable to any sport; 7v7 non-contact football that is safe and highly competitive; a full scholarship fund ensuring no athlete is turned away due to cost; and a peer mentor program in which local high school football players volunteer as coaches' assistants — creating near-peer role models for younger athletes while building leadership skills in the high schoolers themselves.
Our programming is anchored in five Character Development Pillars: Responsibility, Hard Work Ethic, Accountability, Leadership Skills, and Community Ownership. These values are taught explicitly in every camp, clinic, and training session — not as an afterthought, but as a core part of the athletic experience

Before The Gridiron Foundation became a nonprofit, our team spent years running youth football programs that reached over 320 young athletes across the Bay Area. Through those early camps and clinics, more than 60 players received full or partial scholarships — ensuring that no child was turned away because of cost. These programs proved that when kids are given access to high‑quality coaching and mentorship, they grow in skill, confidence, and character.
During this time, our work also built strong relationships with current and former NFL players, coaches, and trainers. Many of them trained locally, supported our camps, or mentored young athletes directly. These connections weren’t accidental — they came from years of trust, professionalism, and a shared commitment to giving kids real opportunities.
Now, as a nonprofit, The Gridiron Foundation is positioned to bring that same level of excellence directly into the community. We are actively working to bring as many of the athletes we previously served — and many more — into a structure designed to level the playing field for all.
By expanding scholarships, partnering with schools, and leveraging our relationships with elite coaches and NFL athletes, we’re creating programs where every child — regardless of income or background — can train, compete, and grow with access to the best coaching and mentorship available.
This is the foundation we’ve already built. And it’s only the beginning.
